■ DirGen of Immigration Foiled Foreigner Smuggling Attempt
Directorate General of Immigration Department of Law and Human Rights (DepKumHam) was foil the smuggling attempt of 47 Chinese citizens from Indonesia to Australia. Director of Immigration Investigation and Enforcement Directorate General of Immigration Depkumham Muchdor Wednesday (03/25) said the smuggling planned by Yusuf Karim alias Josh Joseph, Pakistan-born United States citizen.
Directorate General of Immigration also had arrest Yusuf Karim on March 16 and 47 Chinese citizens which consists of 6 women and 41 men. According to Directorate General of Immigration, those 47 Chinese citizens came to Indonesia in three stages then they are put in the hotel in South Jakarta and Tangerang area.
Further Muchdor said, the Chinese citizen first get the job vacancy information in Australia from the ad posted at some public facilities in Beijing, but before working in Australia they must join the fit and proper test in Jakarta. Directorate General of Immigration then requesting confirmation about the job vacancy to Australia Government, but the answer was there are no job like as advertised by Yusuf Karim. ■Sutiyoso Team to Lobby Golkar Regional Chapter
Former Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso continues to lobby Golkar party Regional Board Committes. Head of Sutiyoso Success Team, Syarwan Hamid Wednesday (25/3) said he optimistic Sutiyoso will be accepted by Golkar party because he could be a complement for Kalla.
According to Syarwan, Kalla who come from the civil and outside Java requires figures from military and Java island. In addition, Kalla background who is a businessmen should be supported by figure who have an ability in politics and security field.
